Homemade Refried Beans

Ingredients

Pinto beans (sorted and rinsed)

Water

1 clove garlic

1 small onion

1 Tbsp of oil

Oregano (optional)

salt

Directions:

  1. Fill crock pot a full of pinto beans (sorted and rinsed).
  2. Fill with water until ¾ full.
  3. Cook beans until tender. Add more water if needed. Takes approximately 4 hours on high.
  4. In a sauce pan cook 1 clove garlic and 1 small onion in 1 tbsp of oil.
  5. Add beans, mashed. Add oregano and salt to taste. Can be frozen
