Ruby’s Peach Cobbler

A simple “made from scratch” Cobbler recipe….old school… This recipe was shared by a family cousin, who at  90, still drives, participates in the ladies church group and sewing circle and volunteers at Farm Bureau and County 4-H Youth Fair events with her husband…She’s doing something right and so blessed! This came tucked into my birthday card she personally delivered to me on a Sunday morning at church…

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4  cup butter
  • Fresh or canned Peaches
  • Brown Sugar
  • Cinnamon

 

Directions

  1. Still till smooth (first 4 ingredients), melt 1/4 cup butte in shallow baking pan, pour batter into butter.
  2. Cover with cut fresh or canned peaches.
  3. Top with brown sugar and cinnamon.
  4. Bake 375 degrees till brown, about 45 minutes.
