Best Cream Sauce for Pasta
Pasta in a simple decadent cream sauce with a hint of pesto sauce …. bella!
This is from a recipe card I picked up at my favorite store that always has the best food demos and samples…would you believe the original added lobster, but can be served on it’s own or as a side…this is very, very, very good…..
Ingredients:
- 1 lb pasta
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
- 1 cup grated Parmigiana
- 1/4 to 1/3 cup pesto (less is better)
Directions:
- Bring large pot of salted water to boil. Cook pasta until al dente; drain.
- In large skillet melt butter, stir in cream and pepper. Cook 6 to 8 minutes, stirring constantly.
- Add parmigiana, stirring until thoroughly mixed.
- Blend in pesto and cook 3 to 5 minutes until thickened.
- Serve over pasta.
