Sugar Cookies

This is my favorite Aunt’s famous sugar cookies recipe. She has made them for decades….she says her secret to the crisp crunch is the butter flavored shortening, she has also cooked with for decades…. bet you can’t eat just one!

Ingredients

• 2 1/2 cups flour
• 1 Tbsp baking powder
• 1 cup butter flavored shortening
• 1 cup sugar
• 1 egg
• apprx 3 -4 Tbsp milk to make the dough

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
2. Mix all ingredients together.
3. When rolling out dough, sprinkle some sugar over dough.
4. Use cookie cutter, and bake for 8 – 12 minutes.
