Meringue
Try using this recipe for any meringue topped pie (copied from an old church cookbook)
Ingredients
- 2 Tbsp sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 Tbsp cornstarch
- 3 eggs whites
- 6 Tbsp water
- 1 tsp vanilla or lemon flavoring.
Directions
- Cook, stir together and cool the sugar, 1/2 cup water and cornstarch.
- Add egg whites and 6 Tbsp water to the soft meringue.
- Beat until stiff.
