Homemade Cheese – “Koch Kase”

Ingredients:

1 24 oz carton small curd cottage cheese

1 tsp baking soda

4 Tbsp flour

pinch salt

3/4 stick butter (6 Tbsp)

1 tsp caraway seeds (optional)

Directions:

  1. Add cottage cheese, baking soda, flour, salt and mix all together and let sit one hour.
  2. Melt butter in skillet.
  3. Add cottage cheese mixture and cook slow until all curds melted, stirring constantly.
  4. Add caraway seeds (optional) and pour melted cheese into bowl to cool.
  5. May keep in refrigerator for a week.
