Homemade Cheese – “Koch Kase”
Ingredients:
1 24 oz carton small curd cottage cheese
1 tsp baking soda
4 Tbsp flour
pinch salt
3/4 stick butter (6 Tbsp)
1 tsp caraway seeds (optional)
Directions:
- Add cottage cheese, baking soda, flour, salt and mix all together and let sit one hour.
- Melt butter in skillet.
- Add cottage cheese mixture and cook slow until all curds melted, stirring constantly.
- Add caraway seeds (optional) and pour melted cheese into bowl to cool.
- May keep in refrigerator for a week.
